Hidden Heroes & Sheroes

The Hidden Heroes and Sheroes event was established over twenty years ago by Rev. Dr. Bill Loesch, a dedicated activist and local leader, to recognize unsung heroes within the community. This annual event not only honors individuals for their grassroots and civic contributions but also serves as a fundraiser to provide two $1,500 scholarships to local high school seniors committed to civic life and community engagement.

Awards are given in several categories, including the Neighborhood Leadership Award for grassroots change-makers, the Civic Leadership Award for those impacting public policy, the Millennium Award for those advancing the goals of the Millennium Community Contract, and the Youth Leadership Award for teens inspiring their peers through community involvement.
